The Basic Black Tank Dress, 3 Ways – Part 2

The Basic Black Tank Dress, Part 2 - Stylista Esquire - @stylistaesquire

Hi Friends!  I had an unplanned week of hiatus from the blog and social media, but for good reason.  My dad had a stroke last week and we spent almost a week in the hospital.  After some prayers and perseverance, he is back home and doing great.  So great, that I am running after him trying to make him sit down so I can take his blood pressure!  Dads never want to listen… In the end, events like this make you thankful for the people around you who help you through it.  So to all of you who sent me texts, messages, comments, and phone calls, I appreciate you so much.  xoxo

Now onto the clothes.  I bring to you, Part 2 of The Basic Black Tank Dress, Styled 3 Ways.  You an catch Part 1 here.  As mentioned in that post, my basic black tank dress is from Lou & Grey, and I absolutely love it.  There are only a few sizes left in this exact one, but you can get a classic black tank dress anywhere and at any price point!

For a work-appropriate look, I simply pair the tank dress with this J.Crew Campbell Linen Blazer.  I added this blazer to my wardrobe this Spring because my old ones did not fit well anymore and I wanted an updated version that will always stay classic.  It is fitted at the waist, has beautiful white and gold buttons, and is super lightweight.  For sizing, I am wearing a Petite 2 and I still have room to wear it over a shirt.

These Steve Madden ‘Carrson’ high heels are making another appearance on the blog, so you can tell they are going to be worn all this Summer!  The first time I wore these, they were pretty uncomfortable, but after breaking them in, I can walk in them for hours!  Ok, not walking all those hours, but you know, walking, sitting, taking a few steps…ha!

Till next time!
