How I Look Put Together (When I’m Super Lazy) – Leith Shift Dress

Leith Shift Dress - Stylista Esquire - @stylistaesquire

How is it the middle of May?!  My best friend got married last weekend (pictures to come!) and it was so magical – I was her maid-of-honor and it was way more emotional than I thought it would be.  Memorial Day Weekend is coming up and then Bryan and I are heading back to Napa!  Woohoo!  With work being, well, work, I can be so lazy when it comes to putting outfits together.  Yes, you may be thinking, uh, hello…you write a FASHION blog…how can you not want to put outfits together??!!  Let me clarify myself.  I hate spending too much time and energy putting outfits together.  Life is busy and there are things to do, places to see, and people to meet.  This girl doesn’t have time to rummage  through racks of clothes.  Hence, my go-tos for looking put together – easy dresses and great accessories.

Hi Friends – it’s been a loooong time.  Apologies are in order as I have been in a world of my own.  I was gone for the majority of March, which was my birthday month, so I am taking over April…haha.  I made my first trip, but not last, to the Motherland, Vietnam.  It was an emotional, life-changing trip, and I can’t wait to share some more photos with you all!

My last post was in February and honestly, with the weather outside, we should still be wearing sweaters!  But maybe by wearing Spring clothes, Spring will decide to officially stay.  I am getting my Spring/Summer wardrobe together and this outfit is one of my favorites.  Two of my favorite recent buys, my Gucci Ace Sneakers and BP. Denim Jacket, will be on the Insta constantly.

Amazon Fashion – My Favorite Sweater EVER For Under $20

Amazon Fashion - Stylista Esquire - @stylistaesquire

So the title of this post is a huge statement. My favorite sweater EVER?!  You must be thinking yeah, right, how you can pick a favorite sweater of all time?!  Well, if you don’t believe me, your jaw’s going to drop when I tell you where I got it.  I give all the credit to my friend Ashlee, who wore this sweater to a double date we went on.  Are you ready??

It’s from AMAZON.  Plus, it’s less than $20…from Amazon.  Prime shipping, one size fits all, the perfect color, and the softest knit.   This Persun Sweater is so good friends, you need to have it.  The extra large knit is so plush, and it’s perfect with a bralette.  The sleeves and hem are elasticized and the top folds over into a great OTS look.  I love oversized sweaters and this one takes the cake.  Even though it’s long, you can easily tuck it into jeans or leggings.

Maybe it’s age, maybe it’s my sedentary Office job, but whatever it is, I am trying to get in control of my weight. Now, I’m not going to stand here and rant about how overweight I am – it’s all subjective. I am 5 feet tall, so a few extra pounds on me, is the equivalent of 5 to 10 pounds on someone of average height. While I am not a health expert and this post is not supposed to give you any professional advice on losing weight, I’ll share my tips on how I am amping up my workout routines and making some minor changes in my eating habits.

Roundup of My Winter Outfits

Faux Wrap Sweater - Stylista Esquire - @stylistaesquire

It’s been a while friends!  January is almost over and life has been busy – I guess things don’t really slow down after the holidays huh?  Bryan has been home for the last few weeks, which is rare for us.  It has been nice having a somewhat normal life together where we aren’t constantly at airports, in different timezones, etc.  But no worries all, next week we should be getting back into the swing of travels.

For now, I am getting my workouts in – I have resurrected my relationship with yoga, and cycle is now a frenemy, instead of just a pure foe – and trying to get my health in order.

As for my closet, I am so ready for Spring, but the weather in DC is unpredictable until March!  We have been known to have blizzards during Spring Break.  It’s still sweater and leggings time, and I can’t complain about that.  I have picked up one new sweater (check it out here), which I will feature on the blog soon.  Other than that, no more winter clothes!  My closet is ready for some fun warm weather looks.

In the mean time, here are some of my favorite outfits keeping me warm until the cherry blossoms start blooming.  You can jump straight to my photos below, but for some of my musings, feel free to continue on!
