Carry-On Essentials and My Best London Travel Tip

I am still on a high from my London trip, and I am prepping for a few trips in the next few weeks. With the Holidays coming, everyone will get pretty good at packing their weekend bags.  These are some of my essentials I always have in my carry-on bag.  Being on a plane is not my favorite place, but having some choice things with me makes it a whole lot better.

My Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM, the holy moly mother of the Neverfulls, is my travel bestie.  I can fit so much stuff in it!  My in-flight goodies are safely stowed inside, and my laptop and toiletries still fit perfectly.

I always have my iPad with me so I can play games and watch movies and TV shows.  I keep an eye out for deals on iTunes, so I can stock up on some entertainment!  Law & Order is my go-to.  As for earphones, I am a bit high-maintenance.  I have my Beats earbuds, but I ALSO bring these Bose Headphones that fit snuggly over my ears.  They are super comfy and I can wear them for hours.

Wipes are a saving grace on a plane.  Wet-ones for your hands, Lysol wipes for your arm rest and seat belt, and these Well-Kept wipes for your iPad screen, laptop screen, and phone screen. Admittedly, I am not a clean-freak and that germs are a healthy part of life.  However, planes are a different story and I have an anxious need to wipe down everything around me.  I’m that person wiping down their tray table…

Here are a few other things I need on my carry-on bag:

Travel Socks – no one wants to wear shoes for hours on a plane

Travel Blanket – because planes are freezing!

This Works Sleep Balm – I use this on my wrists to relax me.  It’s probably a placebo, but it works!

Mac Fix+ Spray – I spritz this to freshen up my face.

L’Occitane Hand Cream – because airplane air dries you out like crazy.

As for that London Pass book you see in my picture, it is my best tip for visiting London.  The London Pass gives you entry to tons of London attractions and all of the ones you will want to see, including Kensington Palace (where Will and Kate live), Westminster Abbey (such a beautiful church!), and Shakespeare’s Globe (a recreation of his original theatre).  You pay a fixed price depending on how many days you want.  You can buy a pass for 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, 6 days, or 10 days.  The price you pay is likely way less than what you would spend at to get into each attraction if you paid at the door.  With the London Pass, you don’t have to worry about using your credit card or carrying cash.  Plus you get fast-entry at many of the sites.

The most worthwhile aspect of getting the London Pass was the option to include an Oyster Card, London’s version of a metro/subway card.  The Oyster Card comes pre-loaded with a certain amount, depending on how many days your pass is for.  The great thing about the Tube is that it caps out at a certain price, so once you reach that amount in a day, you will not get charged for any more rides that day.  Our Oyster Card came with 40 pounds, and we used it everyday.  We were in London for 4 days and we still have money on it for our next trip since the value never expires.  I know this is a quick review on the London Pass, but feel free to leave me any questions!

That’s all for now!  I will be back soon with a Thanksgiving day outfit post!
