Roundup of My Winter Outfits

Faux Wrap Sweater - Stylista Esquire - @stylistaesquire

It’s been a while friends!  January is almost over and life has been busy – I guess things don’t really slow down after the holidays huh?  Bryan has been home for the last few weeks, which is rare for us.  It has been nice having a somewhat normal life together where we aren’t constantly at airports, in different timezones, etc.  But no worries all, next week we should be getting back into the swing of travels.

For now, I am getting my workouts in – I have resurrected my relationship with yoga, and cycle is now a frenemy, instead of just a pure foe – and trying to get my health in order.

As for my closet, I am so ready for Spring, but the weather in DC is unpredictable until March!  We have been known to have blizzards during Spring Break.  It’s still sweater and leggings time, and I can’t complain about that.  I have picked up one new sweater (check it out here), which I will feature on the blog soon.  Other than that, no more winter clothes!  My closet is ready for some fun warm weather looks.

In the mean time, here are some of my favorite outfits keeping me warm until the cherry blossoms start blooming.  You can jump straight to my photos below, but for some of my musings, feel free to continue on!

Part of the reason I love sharing my outfits with you all is that it makes me (1) fall more in love with new and old pieces; OR (2) weed out what I despise/am lukewarm about.  For example, these Alo high waist moto leggings have been on my wishlist for a while.  They are comfy, stylish, dressy, and perfect for so many activities.  Mine are in the performance black, which has a shine to them, so they don’t look like leggings you’d wear to yoga class…

On the opposite end of the spectrum, is the Ray-Ban ‘Classic Wayfarer’ sunglasses I am wearing below.  Think they are swallowed up by my face?  Yeah…me too.  I have wanted a classic pair of Ray-Ban wayfarers for so long, and when they were on sale during Christmas, I snagged them.  I convinced myself they looked great, but after I got my photos in, I realized they are oh so small for my large face and big hair.  I returned them immediately.

Developing a style takes time, and sometimes we make really odd decisions.  Hopefully you’ll let me know if anything else looks awful on me!  Thanks in advance.

xoxo
