Happy Friday friends!  It’s officially September and I CANNOT deal.  This Summer flew by and the year is not slowing down anytime soon.  Honestly, when I was in school, I loved the end of August/September.  For me, it marked a transition point in the year.  You could re-evaluate your goals, set new ones, and plan out an amazing end to the year.  Next week, I’ll have more on this, as I will be talking about how to get yourself organized (or at least attempt to!).  For now, I’m going to take a look back at some of my favorite posts from this Summer!

In the beginning of the Summer, I shared one of my favorite Free People pieces ever.  This ‘Perfectly Victorian’ embroidered mini dress was perfect for the cooler Summer nights and it’s going to take me right into the Fall.  The dress is still available in tons of colors and it will look so adorable with booties!

In the beginning of August, I traveled to Chicago for The Blog Societies Conference and fell in love with the city!  I put together this Chicago Travel Guide with some of my favorite tourist spots and restaurants you must visit.  I cannot wait to visit the Windy City again!

Of course, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale happened, and I picked up some great Fall pieces.  This Halogen No-Closure blazer is one of those and I can’t wait to pair it with my work and casual outfits.  It will look so cute just thrown over a short black dress and paired with some heels.

While the end of Summer is always a bit sad, I love the Fall in Virginia.  The Fall season lasts so long here and it’s the perfect weather for wineries, pumpkin picking, and road trips.  I have a few weddings, wedding-related activities, Bryan’s birthday, and a family trip to Disney, so it definitely won’t be a slow season for me, but it never seems to be for anyone right?!

I am truly lucky to have the opportunity to travel, visit with friends, and enjoy time with loved ones.  My heart aches for Houston and all the people who have been displaced from their homes.  My uncle’s wife is from Houston and many of her friends had to be rescued from the second stories of their homes.  Prayers are the least we can offer, and at times like this, we must act.  There a lots of ways you can help, so I’m linking this article from Fortune, which has some great ways you can give to the relief efforts.  Every little bit counts.  For now, be thankful for your fortunes and hopeful for the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Xoxo,

Jacqueline
